
Other Divisions and CentersNutrition ClinicAt Nutrition Clinic, we offer a number of programs to keep you healthy and fit. Individuals of various age are welcome to visit us. The knowledge of how to eat properly that you gain at our Clinic can then be applied at home, not just for yourself, but also as preventative measures to protect your family members from falling ill. 1. Healthy Diet CourseThis course aims to prevent metabolic syndrome and improve on your daily diet. You will learn how to eat properly to maintain the best condition for your body. The course is run over a period of 6 months. At the start necessary tests and measurements are taken including blood test, weight and height, basal metabolic rate and bone density. This is to know the health state of your body at the beginning of the course. Results of the tests/measurements are then used by medical doctors, registered dietitians, nurse and physical trainers to create diet/exercise programs that are customised for each individual. Customised program will be so that it will be the easiest steps to achieve your goal and will also enable you to adhere to most easily. These specialists will give you full support all the way throughout the course. The program will consist of seminars, personal consultations, cooking classes, discussions and exercise classes. Participants will be served lunch on every visit. Every meal will have energy of 480 kcal and is created by dietitians. By eating these meals, you will learn a range of different recipes that can be cooked deliciously and still have relatively low energy. Upon completion of the course, participants will be awarded a certificate in a ceremony held at Shohakuken Restaurant located within Kagawa Education Institute of Nutrition. 2. Personal Consultation ServicesFor those people who would like advice on how to eat properly but do not wish to join a group, the Clinic staff (registered dietitians) will see you individually to give you personal advices. If you cannot actually come to our clinic, we will take enquiries by post. You will be sent a form in which you will be required to record a 3-day food diary. Once this is posted back to the Clinic, it will be analysed and will be sent back to you with the results and advice from registered dietician. 3. Tests & Nutritional Check-UpBlood and urine tests, weight (body fat) and height measurements are performed. The results will be examined by a medical doctor first, then his/her diagnosis will be used by dietitians to give the patient advice on his/her diet. We also provide services listed below upon request.
